… wait, this is it? That’s seriously the sum total of Daddy Dearest’s so-called dickishness which totally RUINED EVERYTHING FOREVER? He threatened to call the cops on the idiot pothead who climbed through his daughter’s window that one time? I can’t even snark about this, it’s all so utterly pathetic and quarter-assed. Honestly, I’m I’m starting to think the only problem with Kaito’s dad is that he’s the only member of this entire family who isn’t a self-absorbed, self-dramatising, irresponsible asshole, and his irresponsible, self-dramatising ex-wife and self-absorbed asshole kids simply can’t handle the fact that he isn’t letting them get away with themselves.

    • Yes this is the sum of all the evil he’s done to Carol that made her abandon happiness. His characterization as a villain is some of the most pathetic I have ever seen. It’s so bizarre to see her try to ham-handidly make someone who is entirely normal and reasonable into a villain. I mean she literally had the line of, “You’ll raise him to be a suicidal mess” in the comic…like wow that’s so pathetic I can’t even.

    Bizarro fucking world indeed!

“Waaah I didn’t get to fuck my pothead boyfriend, PROBABLY WITHOUT A CONDOM”

    THAT’S IT?!

Oh, speaking of mysterious last name- AP has said she doesn’t know what the fuck kaito’s last name is.

So either she forgot she gave a last name to the dad or somehow he’s doing a Mr. [dumb first name]

I wouldn’t be surprised if AP plain forgot what the dad’s last name is or that typically children keep their parent’s last name.

It’s not that big of a deal in the long run since there’s everything else BS in this comic but I guess it’s more fuel for the “she can’t even keep track of the stuff she makes up!” fire

“and Kaito‚Äôs last name remains a mystery XD Not because of anything

super important, mostly because ive never thought about it lol For now

its sort of a running joke :)”

    • SirSeph says:

weird, i thought running jokes were supposed to be funny, but KS has taught me a manner of things about the world

    • God I didn’t even know that. Holy shit this writing….holy shit. It reminds me of how Shuno’s father figure who got himself mutilated and killed to save Shuno is never named. AP doesn’t even try to hide it because the dramatic moment when he dies Shuno screams out, “OLD MAN!”

      I JUST….HELP

      • Alexei says:

Japanese terms for family members sound awkward in English. Jiisan=oldtimer/grandpa or “old man” as AP wrote. If she wanted the setting to be somewhat Japanese, she should use the Japanese terms but then she might fuck it up.

        • cc says:

Somehow shuno is the only one that does this thing- but that doesn’t make sense since he was raised in what looks like a very western idea of a mafia?

Neither of his parents were wapanese either?

I’m pretty sure why she wrote old man is because he was that unremarkable or memorable- oddly if she’s written “NO!” or something, and based on context it would be apparent who shuno is talking about.

          So more mysteries there.

        • I’m with CC…it was so out of the blue and going with grandpa would have been a MUCH better…besides she inserts random Japanese here and there anyway.

I’m in love with that man! Finally someone sensible who wears normal clothes and quite fancy hair.
I hope he won’t appear in the comic anymore and be a free man, living his normal life.

The people are actually as a result very interested to see them and now have sincerely been enjoying these things. I appreciate you for genuinely well helpful as well as for picking out these kinds of terrific subject areas millions of individuals are really eager to learn about. My very own sincere apologies for not expressing appreciation to sooner.
